I Vlogged! (Can I get anymore CLEVER!?)

Ok, so I tried this vlogging thing. You dont even want to know HOW LONG it took me to figure out the blasted video tech stuff. Ugh. Anyway, here it is. The first in the “Fiapoko Woman” series where I talk about writing stuff, answer your TELESA questions and generally ramble about random things (when I should probably just keep my mouth shut.) In this one, I take on a reader question: ‘Where did you get the inspiration to write about telesa?’
If you watch it – be nice okay? Its my first time on this thing!

  1. Great job, Lani! I hope to see more vlogs in the future. I'm currently suffering from withdrawals after consuming "When Water Burns" in no time :(. Congratulations and best of luck with everything. I'm attempting to get back into my blog so wish me luck! Aloha!

  2. HA!! That's awesome Lani 🙂 Love your first ever vlog, woo hoo!! Loved what you had to say even more…and um…can't wait for that "other vlog" bout a culture trying to control women lol.

  3. Yay vlogging!! 😀 You did very well for a one take video. No unnecessary "uhh"s and "umm's. That's skill right thurr!

  4. Thank you for this! I just recently discovered the Telesa series and of course gobbled it up… Now I'm hungry for more! It's introduced me, an African American woman, to something of the lives and culture of Polynesian women (and your beautiful men!) I read all of 2012 comments, and now there's your vlog! Looking forward to hearing more about the lives of my brown sisters in that part of the world through this channel!

  5. Always good to welcome new readers to the blog. My TELESA books are so Samoa-specific that I worried "non-Samoan" / "Western" readers wouldnt like them. Its a thrill to hear that you enjoyed the books and connected with the characters. Thank you Windsinger.

  6. You are so welcome! I'm exploring that part of the world through the wonders of YouTube. A beautiful land, beautiful people with strong extended families. I think Americans would appreciate learning about your land and culture there through this young Adult contemporary story, and I'm passing them on to others I know. Glad I came across your Telesa series while cruising Amazon for new reads (yes, I'm an unabashed 50+ romance genre book fanatic!). There IS no other team but TEAM DANIEL!!!! 🙂
