“I love you Bella. My love for you is more than alllllll the stars in the universe.” I say lovingly as I hug and kiss her at bedtime. Because I’m a writer and I can’t ever just say, I love you…No, I have to add in some beautiful poignant imagery as well.
Her response?
“I love you Mum. More than all the children in the universe love their mums, more than all the animals childrens love their mums, more than all the childrens of all the living things in the universe love their mums, more than Jesus loves his mum, more than all the stars in the universe that ever lived and got burned up and even all the stars in the universe that haven’t been borned yet. I love you more than all that.”
Conclusion? Bella out-loves me. (And her six year old creative brain power freaks me out. Where in heck does this child get this stuff from?!)
