Some of you know that two years ago I was commissioned by Hans Joe Keil to write a book about the tsunami that hit Samoa, American Samoa and the Northern islands of Tonga. “Pacific Tsunami Galu Afi” was released last year on the anniversary of the disaster which wiped out entire villages and killed 189 people. The printing of the book was funded by the Australian Govt Aid Program and all profits from the books sale are given directly back to survivors from Samoa who shared their stories with the project. Some thoughts on this anniversary.

Aww I'm in the middle of reading your book about the Tsunami and I cried a few times (even if it was in the bathroom….).You really did capture the emotions of the survivors stories. Rest In Peace to those who tragically lost their lives to the sea. You wrote the stories that the news didn't share. Thank you for that.
